Secrets to Get the Work Done
Studer in his book reveals some of the secrets given out by experienced employees that can help anyone of any experience level can make use of it to their advantage:
1. If you bring the boss a problem, always bring a solution:
There is no doubt your boss is the person who is senior to you and you must have certain amount of respect to him. If you create any problem to your boss and think that he can solve it to you, then your thought is absolutely wrong and Studer calls it as the least effective way to get the things done. So he suggests you to think in a different way, like, instead of taking only the problem you have created to your boss, think of a good solution before you take the problem to him. It shows your creativity and naturally you will get appreciated by your boss. If all the employees follow this rule, definitely, the company would be stronger, more innovative as well as more resilient.
2. Figure out the one thing your boss cares about and act according to it:
This is the best way to impress your boss. In all the company, the working style will be different as the work will be done according to the way the boss wants. So, you can’t compare your previous company’s boss’s work nature to the present company’s head. You need to get adjusted to the way your present boss works. In these situations, the only thing which can be to your favor is that to figure out the most important thing which your boss cares and try to bring it into action in your work. Try to avoid committing mistakes which can make your boss angry on you. Once you realize your boss’s nature of work, you can make an effort to frame your communication with him or her in a positive way.
