Bangalore based IT firm Infosys has revised its hiring target to 40,000. Gopalakrishnan, Executive Co-Chairman and Chairperson, Infosys, told that despite of apparent fears of a slowdown, Infosys is continuing to hire in large number this year. He also said that they are continuing with hiring plans even though there is instability in decision making. Companies like Accenture and Cognizant are hiring thousands of students at one go in the campus selections in spite of the recession. Cognizant hired 1,820 students at the Vellore Institute of Technology, at the same time Accenture has offered jobs to more than thousand students at Amity University and other reputed universities.
