Girish Paranjpe of Wipro told that, Wipro plans to hire 7,500 fresh graduates from campuses and these would include both engineering and non engineering students and the No.1 software service firm. TATA Consultancy Service (TCS), hired a record of 1755 engineering graduates from Sastra University in Tamil Nadu. These IT hiring process from all the top firms is an indication that they are not influenced by all the weak macroeconomic cues coming from U.S and Europe and the demand for graduates has not dried up. This trend is expected to reinforce in Karnataka and Delhi where the campus selection is going to take place soon. The recruiting process is in full stream in Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.
