However, the 2011 recession hasn't affected the Indian companies from hiring. The top IT firms Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, Accenture and others have kept aside the recession worries and are hiring freshers in large number from top engineering colleges all over the country. Because of the recession students are not ready to take any kind of chances, so they are watching every IT closely as a brand and then they are selecting and picking firms which has strong growth tracks, reports Sangeetha Kandavel and Jayadevan PK from Economic Times.
These IT recruiters are sharing first slots at campuses with enthusiasm to tap into the best talents. In this recruitment process, Cognizant picked up 1,263 students and Infosys selected 1,255. But around 970 students had common offers where finally 83 percent of them opted for Cognizant and the remaining chose to go with Infosys.
