Here's How You Can Make The Most of Career Trends in 2016

One year switch

Seeking a job for a lifetime is no more a common practice as it was in the early 90’s. The average tenure at a current job reduced continuously over the years. In the beginning of the 21st century, the average tenure was down to five years and a decade later, it again reduced to two or three in a company. In 2015 there was a dramatic change in the job switching trend. Employees, primarily in IT and sales, started looking for new jobs in just an year and this trend is expected to accelerate in 2016, as new companies compete in hiring employees to keep up with the proliferation. So employees who feel that their current role is not up to their expectations, and are confident of their abilities, can go ahead and switch jobs in months without worrying about what goes into the resume.
