Bridge Gender Gap: New Mission for IT Companies

Bangalore: Indian work culture is drastically changing with the growth of IT companies. In a male dominant society some of these organizations are playing a huge part in women empowerment and gender equality. In general it is evident that IT companies are trying to bridge gender gap by recruiting more women techies reports Times of India.

The IT companies are blamed to be not having diversity; gender gap has always been a major drawback. The companies believe in hiring talents more than numbers thus, the companies do not set targets for hiring women as that can affect the quality.  The raise of IT sector has given a new life style for women in India. To improve the participation of women in the industry, the companies are providing them with various facilities as well as social exposure.

The companies such as Google, Microsoft, Wipro, and Infosys all have agreed that they are taking initiatives to nurture the women techies in their organizations. The women in the industry are also provided with attractive packages and incentives as well as a safe and comfortable working environment with cab facilities according to the shift timings.
