7. Tell Me About Yourself?

This is hazy question that recruiters commonly use to access you as a person. You can either opt to talk about work or non work related things, but it is better to speak about a mix of both if no specific guidelines are added.

You can respond to this question by stating that “As you can see from my CV, I have worked in the XYZ field for X number of years and have added numerous key skills and proficiencies to my repertoire along the way. In my free time I enjoy reading, hiking, visiting the theatre and so on."

No doubt, the recruiter will be looking for more than the above stated information, so be prepared to expand wherever and whatever is needed.
