Bangalore: While evaluating the quality of employees, one of the recent surveys has found employers are no more satisfied with the skills new grads bring to their table, reports a survey conducted by Global Strategy Group, a research firm which has commissioned by Woods Bagot. The new findings point out that fresh graduates are lacking the soft skills, whereas they meet the technological expectations. Woods Bagot reveals “graduates are falling short of expectations.” In response to the research, most of the business executives mentioned that a good number of fresher job seekers do not possess the highly valued characteristics like problem solving, critical thinking skills, teamwork spirit and written communication skills. But they are beyond the expectations in social-media skills and technical skills, the respondents added. The study also reported that ‘University Graduates Don't Make the Grade’.

As the today’s world gives more importance for interpersonal abilities than just technical knowledge, new grads have to develop these skills before entering the job market. The online survey has carried out over 500 selected business executives. They have also revealed that as an employer what they look in an employee.
