Reforms Needed To Attract Investment, Create Jobs: Vasundhara Raje
In order to provide more facilities to investors coming to the state, the CM announced a convention centre at Neemrana. She further suggested development of a golf course to make this industrial town an interesting place for the business people to work and visit. The CM suggested the management of Hero Motocorp to provide skill development facility for the young generation of the region by opening a training centre at the plant itself.
Sharing her experience of the recently concluded visit to Singapore, the CM said that she visited skill development platforms run within the business premises there. Raje said that it was a matter of pride that one of the largest manufacturers of two-wheelers decided to set up its fourth manufacturing unit of the country at Neemrana. The town thus emerged as an industrial hub in the state securing a prominent place on the map of preferred destinations for investment due to ease of accessibility to Delhi, NCR and other markets as well as availability of infrastructure and other facilities.
"We have already taken definite steps to amend labour laws including changes in the Factories Act, the Industrial Disputes Act, the Apprenticeship Act and the Contract Labour Act," she added.
Raje said that the state government recently announced its new investment promotion policy. Prior to the ceremony, the CM visited the plant and saw the complete line of packaging from start to finish. A short film on 'manufacturing happiness' was also screened by Heromoto Corp. Vice Chairman and CEO of Hero Motocorp Ltd Pawan Munjal, (Raj) State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Hem Singh Bhadana, MP Mahant Chand Nath were among others present on the occasion.
