Infosys has launched a new referral program called ‘Restart with Infosys’ to encourage hiring women professionals who are re-entering the workforce after taking a career break. The program offers employees rewards of up to Rs 50,000 for successful referrals, aiming to attract experienced women and increase diversity in the company’s workforce.

To be eligible, candidates must have a minimum of two years’ professional experience and have taken at least six months off work. The program covers a variety of roles, including developer positions, tech leads, and managerial jobs across different technologies.

In an internal communication, Infosys emphasized that the program not only brings in talent but also provides returning women with mentorship and skill development to help rebuild their confidence and advance their careers. The referral rewards are tiered based on job levels, ranging from Rs 10,000 for junior roles to Rs 50,000 for senior management positions.

This initiative is part of Infosys’ broader ESG Vision 2030, which aims to increase the proportion of women employees to 45% by 2030. Currently, women make up 39% of the company’s workforce of over 3 lakh employees. According to Infosys’ Chief Human Resources Officer, Shaji Mathew, the program has already helped hire about 900 women in mid-management roles during the current financial year, up from 500 last year.
