9. Drama and Theater Arts:

Unless you are a Shahrukh Khan or Amir Khan, this field will not probably pay off. In addition, the starting salary for drama and theater arts grads is the lowest on the list, way below the median for top majors and only two times the poverty level. To make matters worse, theaters and films are the most competitive fields, and the job growth is stalled out. In fact, nearly nine out of ten theater grads end up in other field such as sales, education or office work.   

10. Sociology:

Though sociology is one of the most popular undergraduate majors, judging by the numbers, it can be a career option that can ruin your future. New grads face unemployment rate slightly less than the average for all workers and are expected to make less than the grads from other top majors. Economics, political science or statistics are a better option for individuals interested in social science, as they offer a better pay than sociology.
