According to a study by Pax World, Calvert and Walden Asset Management, at the company level, women are a minority in the top leadership roles of global corporations. The study revealed that only 9 percent of directors on global corporate boards are women.
Though the Indian Constitution has recognized the principle of equal pay for equal work for both men and women, but the government itself has not implemented the principle. Government employs lakhs of women under their employment scheme who are still paid below the minimum salary.
For every women it is challenging, however we can hope that the gender stereotypes will change over time and there should be an equal opportunity for everybody.
