Jobless Rate: 10.7 Percent

Colombia as an economy has been growing swiftly since the government brought an end to the brutal civil war raging in the country and bought insurgency under check, but the country is still plagued by one of the highest unemployment rates among the Latin American nations.

Continued liberalization and pro-employer polices is seen as a boon, but this economic growth has hardly managed to reach the masses in the lower half of the economy.

Jobless Rate: 10.8 Percent

France, a country that is counted among the wealthiest and most developed nations in the world is slotted at the 19th position. Yes, the country has managed to bounce back and is on the positive side of growth; however sustenance of this growth in an economy that is plagued by deep spending cuts and has approximately three million jobless is an issue.

Post the recession, Finland is being viewed as a country that is struggling to stay afloat and withstand the pressure that is exerted by financial meltdown on its economy. And the inefficiency of the government to review the fortunes of the country, coupled with declining demand for Finnish products worldwide, has drastically reduced the job market in the nation.
