5. Don’t receive too many personal calls:
In many offices there might be some restrictions where you are not allowed to pick up too many personal calls in the middle of your work. But this decision from the company’s side might be acceptable because, your employer is not paying you to chat with your friends and family members during the working hours. So, if your relatives and friends are calling you during the time you are engaged in your office work inform them before you start the new job by telling them about your office timings and request them to avoid calling you during that time.
Make your own personal rules and regulations if they are helping your professional life, like in the case of attending and making personal calls, limit your personal phone calls and text messages to a certain extent and make sure you spend that time on completing your office work. You can make your personal calls during tea break or lunch breaks if you want. And if at all you have some personal emergency, make sure you use the conference room to make a call, to avoid disturbing others.
