3. Know When To Dial Back: While enthusiasm and attitude are highly sought after, the employees who are aware of when to turn it on and off, and get down to business to move past their individuality for a greater cause of their employer are always going to stand out.   

4. Never (Openly) Complain: Being aware of what to do and what not to do. And resist yourself for openly criticizing someone, which can go a long way in terms of creating a positive relationship with your co-workers or higher authorities.

If you have any issues try to bring it up in a professional manner and if possible, come up with a path to a solution.

5. Work for Greater Good: Great employees are not self-centered and work for the greater good of the employer. They tend to have a greater understanding of the needs of the company and accordingly mold their working style to maximize the performance.

6. Know How To Give And Receive Praises: Greatest employees are the ones who are not overwhelmed by success or weighed down by failures. They are the ones who always remain on the ground, irrespective of triumph or disappointments and are aware of how to give and take praises.

Admire your peers for their contribution, and humbly receive the praises given by others.
