At one time, Jack Grubman of Salomon Smith Barney was the highest paid and the most important analyst of Wall Street with an annual salary of $20 million. He claimed that he graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). It was later discovered that he never attended MIT and he lied because he felt insecure.
