Tackle a Friendly Relationship at Your Workplace
Bangalore: Being professional doesn’t mean to be a cold-hearted person at office. You need to be friendly with your colleagues as you spent most of your time at office in a day. Don’t you agree? Then, you may have some points to think, right? You might be advised as your friendships with co-workers will be tested by a number of unusual issues at work. Striking the right relationship balance at work is not that toughest job if you know what matters in a work place. You are neither advised to be too friendly nor a snooty person. For a new joined, it is one of the very difficult things to build a friendly relationship with colleagues. Without being a mega-nerd, you have to get along with your co-workers.
Even though, your work environment has a great role to define what kind of relationship you have to maintain with your co-workers, it is valued to build a good interpersonal relationships at your office. Interpersonal communication is the best way to build a mutual understanding after all.
1. Interact with them:
As being a new joined, you will have a number of chances to interact with your colleagues. Try to figure out right kinds of questions instead of asking about their personal life; bring safe topics like good restaurants nearby, best shopping malls and so on. Try to avoid topics like health, politics, religion, salary package but it is fine, if they talk with you. Your interaction with your colleagues should not be meant to name you as a ‘chatter box’.
