The top five metropolitan areas that saw the highest quantity of online employment commercials for product development and product management professionals includes New York, San Francisco, Boston, Seattle and San Jose. The Silicon Valley not only sees the maximum demand with a combined 7,900 employment advertisements in San Francisco and San Jose, but are also experiencing the highest year-by-year growth. During this period demand in San Francisco grew almost 55 percent compared to December of 2011 and demand in San Jose rose by 41 percent.

On a national scale, though these positions are likely to be difficult to sign up. With more than 8,900 employers currently on a look out for proficient Product Developers and Product Managers, there is heavy competition to lure capable talent.
