Most Preferred Recruiters by B-School Students in India
Based on the survey done by Nielsen, Hindustan Unilever was considered as the most sought after recruiter by many B-School students followed by Google, Procter & Gamble (P&G) in the second and third places respectively. Along with that, the top 10 list of most preferred recruiters by B-School students, IT biggies Accenture took the 5th place and Microsoft was ranked in the 8th place. The 7th slot was taken over by management consulting firms McKinsey & Co and 8th slot by Boston Consulting Group. Citigroup was the only banking organization to take a slot in the top 10 as it was ranked as the 9th preferred recruiters by B-School students. Apart from that, Aditya Birla Group that took the 4th slot in the top 10 ranking became the only large conglomerate to be featured in the list of top 10. The sixth slot was taken over by networking site Facebook.
When it came to the ‘Dream Companies’, again it was the HUL 30 percent B-School students voting it as their ‘Dream Company’ that was followed by P&G with 20 percent votes, Google by 15 percent votes. Indian conglomerates Tata Administrative Service acquired the 4th slot with 11 percent votes, followed by Reliance Industries acquiring the 6th slot with 9 percent votes and Aditya Birla Group taking away the 10th slot with 7 percent of votes.
The average salary that was expected by the Class of 2013, from a ‘Dream Company’ was around 14.5 lakh in an annual basis. Similarly, the salary expected by the Class of 2013 by the foreign company was around 22.3 lakh annually.
