Grant managers play a critical role in the fund-raising team and are generally employed by social service organization, non-profits and schools.

Depending on the size of the organization and its staff, these professionals may also have to bear the burden of scripting the grant application and associated materials. They may have to work with the other members of the fund-raising team to collaborate on the overall fund-raising plan, since grants alone are never sufficient to meet all the needs of the organization.
