Leap From Manager to a Leader

Increase your Leadership Potential
potential
One does not need a leading title to act like a leader. Actually, leaders begin to demonstrate these skills early on in their careers. One should look out for mentors within their company rather than graze, do a deep dive. Steadiness is important. So discovering one or two who are willing to spend real time with you six times a year is far more valuable than having many who will not give time on a regular basis. To find the best mentor, predominantly in organizations that don't have formal mentoring programs, it is advisable to reach out for natural coaches, who are empathetic listeners and who have a passion for, and are successful in, business. It is recommended to maintain a voracious appetite for knowledge and to never be a passive learner. Pose questions and recommend your own ideas to get reactions from your organization's leaders. Keep in mind that leadership is not bestowed, you got to earn it. And you will know it if you have done it by turning around and seeing how many people are following you.
