Motorola owned by Google is breaking through the barriers with some innovative technology and design that connect people with the things they love.

However, with the lights of its new owner Google, it couldn’t resist from cutting down jobs from its Motorola Mobility unit due to the slowdown in the job market.

In fact Motorola almost lost 10 percent of its workforce and this new job cuts took a beating on the company’s employees in India, U.S. and China.

Cognizant

Job cuts: 500

Cognizant is a leading provider of information technology, consulting, and business process outsourcing services, which is dedicated to helping the world's leading companies to build stronger businesses.

The IT giant too was on the list for making job cuts during 2013. The company didn’t reveal much information regarding the job cuts, but according to sources it let go close to 500 underperforming employees in April this year.

This move by the company was certainly taken on the appraisal process and mailed through the team leaders informing them to send home the under performers.
