Indian-Origin CEOs Who Sway the World
Anshu Jain, Deutsche Bank: Pink city, Jaipur would be happy to see his child grow from a child to the reigning CEO of International Deutsche Bank. Anshu Jain, graduated from Delhi University's Shri Ram College of Commerce with an honors degree in Economics and also holds an MBA in finance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Jain is one of the masterminds behind the transformation of Deutsche Bank from a German commercial bank, into a global powerhouse in investment banking. He was names the Co-CEO of the bank on June 1st 2012.
Ajay Banga, Master Card: Ajay Banga began his career with Nestle,India for 13 years and also worked with PepsiCo for two years and joined Citigroup in 1996. Currently he is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Master Card. Banga was born into a sikh family in India, and had his schooling across India. He received a B.A. in Economics from Delhi University with honors and is the alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Banga was named as Master Card's President and CEO on April 12th 2010 with effect from July 1st 2010.
Ajit Jain, Berkshire Hathaway Reinsurance: According to Warren Buffett, Ajit Jain has created an insurance business with a float of $35 billion and a significant profit, an achievement no other insurance CEO ever matched this close. The India born Jain was raised in the coastal state of Orissa, earned a Bachelor's degree in engineering from IIT Kharagpur, and started his career in IBM India, and later moved to U.S. and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. He now heads the Berkshire Hathaway Reinsurance as its President and CEO.
