Indian Cities to Witness a Dip in Hiring, except Delhi
Pune: In this city the employment outlook has come down by 4 points and stands at 66 while the net business outlook sees a marginal decrease by 3 points and stands at 76. Pune has seen the extreme downfall in both the sectors and the attrition level also seems to increase and stands at 9.06 percent. The hiring has increased in the city.
New Delhi: This city has shown the progress in both the verticals as the employment outlook has seen a net increase of 3 points and stands at 64 while the Business Outlook index has shown a positive sign by rising by 5 points. But the attrition level sees an increase and stands at 11.1 percent. But the hiring sees a slight decrease by 1 point from the last quarter.
The junior level hiring is positive this quarter with 2 points each, while mid-level hiring intent further reduces 2 points to close at a 12 month low of 38 points. The bigger worry is the steadily increment category of not hiring responses with the geographic as well as with the functional hiring intent which sees nil or marginal movement across the functional areas.
A large number of indices have lost between 5 to 9 points in this period while the number in the 0-4 points drop category are also fairly substantial.
