PNC Menon: Hailing from Thrissur, Menon quit college and started an interior designing business, but his luck changed over night when he met a Brigadier who called him to Oman to partner in a business with him.
Menon is now a businessman based out of Oman and is also the owner of one the best realty groups, Sobha Developers. Though never completing his college and losing his father at the age of 10, Menon now runs a business that is widely flourishing in Oman and India.
Dhirubhai Ambani: The son of a village school teacher stopped studying to support his financially deprived family. He was an impatient man who wanted to make money quickly and when his father became sick, he took the opportunity to work in Yemen to pay the bills for his father’s treatment.
He came back to India and started the conglomerate business ventures, Reliance Industries, catering jobs to over 85,000 people worldwide. His death back in 2002 brought millions of mumbaikars and admirers from all over India and the world. He is surely an example of a Rags-to-Riches story that has inspired and continues to inspire many people even today.
