India and China among the Toughest Job Markets for Employers

Bangalore: Most of the employers feel that India and China are among the five most difficult markets to hire talent due to the acknowledged skill gap that is widespread in the region. In addition, employers sense a lack of confidence, professionalism, self-monitoring and intellectual curiosity among potential employees in India, according to a survey shared with TOI, reported by Samidha Sharma of TNN on The Economic Times.

Presently the ability to distinguish from competition is the primary challenge for companies and is bound to remain in the same way for the coming three years, as per the findings of Universum, a global consulting organization that assists employers improve their attractiveness to potential workforce.  Due to the increased competition among corporate India for talent acquisition and dwindling talent pool, especially at the leadership level, many companies are increasingly opting for nurturing the talent internally and prepare them to face the challenges of the outside world.
