IIT Bombay Students Steal The Limelight With CAT 100 Percentile Rank

BANGALORE: One of the most prestigious, difficult and competitive exam in the country, CAT, common admission test is the talk of the town at the moment. This test qualifies students to get admission in some of the top most rated business colleges in the country. This test is not a regular formatted test. It has various sections that are dedicated to challenging the quantitative, comprehensive and aptitude of the subject. Over the years, this test has been the result of creating some of the biggest business leaders in the country.

It is very difficult or at times almost impossible to get 100 percentile on the test. However, some students over the years have secured this 100 percentile. The number of students securing 100 percentile seems to be increasing each year. This year three students from IIT Bombay have secured 100 percentile. Vibhu Gupta and Anurag Reddy are still students in the institute but have been given admission letters to join IIM-A when they finish their course in IIT-B. The students have not taken any full time coaching but practiced test and mock papers regularly. Anurag Reddy hopes to be able to pursue his masters in Finance from IIM-A.

The third student from IIT-Bombay is an alumnus who graduated this year, Harshveer Jain. He had to make time from his work with a startup company to be able to secure the top spot. He does say that he didn’t need much of training since his love for mathematics has not left him. He too has a desire to finish his MBA from IIM-A.

The total number of students with 100 percentiles in CAT is not known but there is also a girl from Delhi who secured 100 percentile. This feat is worth mentioning because the last time a Delhi girl secured 100 percentile was back in 2009. So, these are some of the students who have secured 100 percentile in CAT.
