An individual wants alignment because the world would be a better place if you are passionate and enthusiastic about your work. But it shouldn't be the most important thing in your life. This reason leads to the prediction that the more people strive for happiness, the more likely it is that they will become disappointed about how they feel, paradoxically decreasing their happiness the more they want it.
