Education requirement to become a web developer is an associate degree in web design or related field. Web developers need knowledge of both programming and graphic design.
Why in demand: The forthcoming of smartphones, tablets, and other devices are playing a major role in this profession’s rapid growth. "As e-commerce and e-training expand, the need for more experienced web designers and developers will increase. Companies are expanding their online presence, and more web designers are needed to build the designs for mobile devices," says Elaine Reeder, computer graphics chair at Camden County College.
