If you are a B.Tech pass out you can expect a job at NTPC [National Thermal Power Corporation], which is considered to be the largest Indian state-owned electric utilities company that is based in New Delhi. As per the 2011 Forbes Global 2000 ranking, this company has been ranked 348th in the world. This public sector firm is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange. At present, there are around 26,000 employees working in this firm. Every year NTPC use to select its candidates through the ET test and around 1, 50,000 students use to take that examination in which only 500-600 candidates were getting selected. But from this present year, the firm has started considering the GATE examination rankings for the position of Executive Trainees along with other PSUs namely the BHEL, IOCL.
