Warren Buffett
Buffett is an American business entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. He is widely considered the most successful investor of the 20th century.
Buffett was born in Omaha, Nebraska, to a U.S. Representative Howard Buffett. He started earning at age of 6 when he opted to go door to door and sell packs of chewing gum. His other door-to-door services included selling magazines and Coca-Cola's. He also ran a newspaper delivery route.
Buffett is currently the chairman, CEO and largest shareholder of Berkshire Hathaway and is consistently ranked among the world's wealthiest people. He was ranked as the world's wealthiest person in 2008 and as the third wealthiest person in 2011. In 2012, American magazine Time named Buffett one of the most influential people in the world.
Buffett is called the "Wizard of Omaha” or the "Sage of Omaha" and is noted for his loyalty to the value investing philosophy and for his personal generosity despite his immense wealth. According to Forbes, Buffett has a net worth of $53.5 billion.
