Bill Ackman

Bill was certainly not born rich. He grew up in New York and had to face extreme hardships.  He had to setup a car waxing business and later a ditch digging business to earn a living.

Bill Ackman holds an MBA from Harvard Business School started his professional career in real estate working for his father. However, his tenure under his father's didn’t last long, as he later went on to found Gotham Partners Management Co, which was a short-lived investment company that culminated with dissolution in 2003 due to legal troubles.

In the year 2004, where Bill started to find his way, when he decided to get back to the financial stage as a creator of the Pershing Square Capital, which holds shares in Wendy's International, McDonald's Corporation and in Target Corp. Thus, Bill built a reputation for himself in buying a massive share at the lowest price for resale in two years maximum.

Bill Ackman who is currently the founder and CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management and Director of Canadian Pacific Railway has a net worth $1.2 billion (as of March 2013) and this has been accumulated through the many business investments that he has made in the Target Corporation, Borders Group and other corporations.
