Employees Wants their Efforts Recognized
Bangalore: Who does not like to feel appreciated at work? Likewise, it is very important for employers to extend recognition in order to retain our talent. According to an infographic report, by Socialcast, 85 percent U.S. employees like to have their hard work recognized; over half believe that their company does not care about them.
The report highlights the fact that the majority of employers do not understand how non-financial incentives tend to be the most desired by recruits like health benefits, workplace flexibility and career advancement emerges to be more preferred than pay package, which also should not be ignored. As some organizations believe that appreciation should be in person announcement, other companies have been using software for recognizing efforts.
Further, the infographic report says 52 percent of the U.S. staffs are dissatisfied with the level of recognition they receive at the organization for doing good work. 39 percent do not feel appreciated at their jobs. In terms of financial benefits, 60 percent of the employees prefer increase in the base pay and 35 percent prefers to have stock options whereas in terms of non financial incentives 67 percent of the employees prefer praise directly from the manager and 63 percent prefers affirmation from the leaders.
