Difference between Getting Terminated and Resigning

2. Who Has The Final Say?

The rules are very tricky, when it comes to terminating an employee. A manager may have to consult various sources such as legal, human resource or higher authority to determine whether they are following appropriate protocols.

Employees also have rights. If they feel that he /she is illegitimately terminated and has appropriate proof to back it up, they can actually appeal an employer’s decision to sack their contract. In order to do so, they have to get in touch with their respective human resource department and be geared up to present all the relevant documents screening evidence that they were unlawfully terminated.

3. Financial Implications:

Financial implications between termination and resignation are quite different. In fact, resignation will have much lesser impact on the day-to-day life of an individual than termination. When it comes to resignation an individual can collect up until the last day on the job, whereas termination can lead to financial misery.
