Countries With The Most Vacations

Belgium

Days off per year: 30 (tied for 6th highest)

 Annual hours worked: 1,577 hours

 Labor productivity: $59.50 per hour

GDP per capita: $37,883

 Unemployment rate: 7.6 Pct

Job goers in Belgium get the same as what Italy workers get ,i.e., 20 vacation days and 10 public holidays per year. However employees have a probation period of one year and they cannot use vacation time unless they complete this requirement. But that’s not over yet, Belgium workers have a day off  guaranteed for each of those 10 public holidays, and if workers want to take an off for one of those holidays, they are entitled to be given another day off within the week. That’s something unique, which we have not come across in any other part of the world.

Not to forget the Belgian workers are as productive as American workers, with a labor productivity rate of $59.50 per hour. However with all this the growth in Belgium has taken a beating and GDP shrank by 0.2 percent. According to the IMF, that government spending totaled nearly 55 percent of GDP. To cut down on this spending the IMF has recommended Belgium to take some important measures by pushing through broad labor reforms and improving Belgium job markets.
