Beware Being Emotionally Attached to Your Colleagues
2. It avoids you to take rational decisions:
If you are emotionally too close to your colleagues, as a senior it will avoid you to take rational decisions on them. Suppose if you believe that an employee can very well fit to your other business branch and he or she rejects to move to that place, it will be your responsibility to take the decision which is helpful to grow your business no matter how close you are to that employee.
3. Assigning the Work:
If you are too close to a colleague, it will be very difficult for you to assign any extra work to that colleague whenever necessary. It is your responsibility to see that all your employees are assigned equal work without any partiality. If you fail in assigning equal work to the employees and an employee makes some excuse for not completing the work, at last it is you who will end up in completing the work, if you are too soft to assign work to them.
