Network architects are IT professionals who are responsible for designing a network of computers and overseeing its implementation within an organization. Often these professionals also have to work in association with the network engineers and network administrators to fulfill the goals of the organization.
These professionals have advanced more rapidly over the last few years compared to the previous 2 decades, said Michael Kirven. He added that the push to build private cloud networks or a hybrid between public and private cloud networks has put a lot of pressure on the networking departments to address the challenges and this is creating new demand for these professionals in the IT industry.
As per the PayScale website, the median wages for these professionals ranges between 7.01 lakh to 21.44 lakh.
