Mike Dean, a spokesman for Common Cause of Minnesota, was a bit critical on the Apple visit and he called those visits as 'influence peddling'. He also said that the Apple offered experience that made potential buyers feel like insiders.
Natalie Kerris, spokeswoman of the Apple Company told that the education was in the DNA of the company and she advised the public employees to follow their local regulations while they participate in the trip to their company.
Even Jobs, Apple's co-founder, had turned doubtful about technology's ability to improve education. In a recent interview with Walter Isaacson Steve had agreed that computers had surprisingly made little impact on schools. When he was the CEO of the company Jobs had given away more computer equipments to schools than anybody else had given on the planet. He had also blamed teachers' unions for the decline in education.
