Not Looking For Better Options

There are times when your job security is at stake. To meet such circumstances, one should not stop applying for jobs after bagging one. Continue the search for better jobs and brighter prospectus. You might get lucky and find better offers this way.

If however you miss out on updating your profile on job portals or you forget to reply back to the mail offering a better job, you still haven’t lost your chances for the job. To set things right, you can write back to them stating some convincing excuses for why you couldn’t reply in time. In addition to this you can state the current projects you are working on. This might work wonders if they are convinced and offer you better titles.

Being an Outcast

In times of cut-throat competition, employees should not make things difficult for themselves by snapping up credits of others just to receive your boss’s pat on the back. Instead you can start being an outcast when set preferences while working with certain groups or you make co-workers look bad in an attempt to save yourself or you unknowingly pass a judgmental view on some issue.

To escape this scenario, one must learn to be diplomatic and always approach issues with a polite and non-judgmental view. And remember to mention the names of the employees who had a key role to play on particular projects instead of bagging all the praises yourself.
