BENGALURU: Mohandas Pai, an industry veteran estimated that by 2025, about 200Mn people in the country will be jobless. This will happen with the increasing use of automations and technological advancements. The worst part is that the Government has no such policy to tackle it because they don’t have sufficient data. The industry experts said that the person who upgrades their skillet according to the changing scenario will be successful as the future workforce. The sectors widely affected by the changing technology or infrastructure will be fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), banking and finance, and telecom. The Economic Times listed some jobs that need technical upgrade to avoid layoffs.
Product Manager in FMCG Sector
The product managers in FMCG sector need to upgrade their skills according to the e-commerce sector. The responsibility of product manager in e-commerce is to look after the product till its delivery while in FMCG space they never did this.
Data Analyst in FMCG Sector
Data analysts are responsible for analysing data to take useful information from it. Just because better technology leads to better decision making, future data analyst needs to polish their skills to quickly identify the trends to ensure its benefits for the company.
Project Managers in Infrastructure Sector
Mr. S Venkatesh, President, RPG Group, said that infrastructure space will be less hit by the technological advancements. The Indian and Chinese companies are exploring new opportunities in Latin America because of the advantage in contracts and material. Therefore, people will have to learn how to live and work at different geographical locations.

Digital architects are responsible for shaping solutions according to the client’s need and ensure the delivery of it. The digital technologies travelled a long way from web technologies to enterprise applications. A digital architect is needed to learn Java and other logging frameworks. The skillset also requires the understanding of .NET, XP and other similar kind of industry standards.
