# The New School, situated in Manhattan,
is a new multipurpose facility that represents a unique architecture.
The LEED Gold (Green) building provides space for all aspects of a traditional campus, with 200,000 square feet of academic space on the first seven floors and 150,000 square feet for a 600-bed dormitory on the levels above. Designed by architecture firm SOM, it is conceived as "a campus within a building." It is 16-storeyed, containing multi-purpose classrooms, design studios, laboratories, an 800-seat auditorium and the main university library. The student housing floors provide accommodation for approximately 600 students and can be accessed via a dedicated entrance on Fifth Avenue. Residents have access to a series of communal facilities in the basement, including a gym, a common room, study areas, art studios, a mailroom, and a laundry room.
# Vienna University of Economics and Business’s new campus, designed by internationally renowned designers, Zaha Hadid Architects has space for 25,000 students and 1,500 employees. Library and Learning Centre at the campus comprise of a main structure, which is tilted at 35 degrees and has fiber-reinforced concrete. The building is marked by ribbon windows that can be seen across the main building. The entire area is bigger than the total size of 12 football pitches. The entire campus was built on the basis of a “Green Building” providing greener and cleaner space.
