Surprising Things That Turn Off Prospective Employers
Undervalued candidates
Presenting yourself well is the mantra for interviews today.
From the time you enter the organization, to the time you leave the place, your presentation matters.
In a way you are there to get yourself hired, so market yourself in a way that you attract your probable employer. Don’t let your inexperience or lack of certain skills be obvious.. Mould yourself in a way that positive vibes reflects from you.
Bad attitude and Rudeness
Attitude of a person says more than words. Be decent, presentable and be approachable. If you are an experienced person try not to boost of your endeavors and show off. Don’t be talkative, or sideline other candidates as this will only be a negative mark for you.
This kind of act annoys others and you may be shown the exit. Be balanced with your confidence, energy and ambition. Anything in excess would harm your future goal. Be gentle and patient but again that does not mean you are stopped to talk or be timid.
Keep yourself from being rude and getting irritated easily. The best time to check your politeness is when the recruiter calls you and you are busy doing something important or travelling in an overcrowded bus. Respond to the call politely, explain the situation and schedule the conversation later.
