Quick and short does not always work. You have to find out intelligently when to be precise, and when the elaboration of the answer is needed. Short inconsistent answers may show you the exit door.

Cluelessness
You are giving the hint of unawareness when you fumble the answers of questions like ‘why you want to work here’ and similar. You need to have clarity on everything and convey this to the employer.
