BENGALURU: The Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India, released the India Rankings 2016 on the 4^th of April this year. Announced by the MHRD Chief Smriti Irani, the rankings have been completed under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in various categories like University, Engineering, Management, and Pharmacy. The institutions were assessed and given scores on the basis of teaching, learning and resources; research, consulting and collaborative performance; graduation outcome; outreach and inclusivity; and perception. In the engineering category, the IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) occupied the top 10 spots of the rankings, reflecting their stand out qualities in catering technical education. Here’s the list of the Top 10 Engineering Colleges according to the scores gained by these institutions in the India Rankings 2016, reports the Times of India.
