BENGALURU: There is no doubt that Ola cabs and Taxi For Sure are making headline for good reason. And among all these buzz, both the cab services have decided to recruit IITans for developing new vehicle categories and for management of their security systems to provide the consumers safety and security, reports TOI.

So far this placement session, the maximum number of offers made by Ola towards the IIT graduates is stacked up at 143 and it plans to hire total of 200 candidates. Following this, IIT Bombay received a whopping 46 offers, which is the highest, while IIT Chennai has received 38 offers from this Bangalore based Cab service.

These IITans will be appointed to check the validity of different ideas and even introducing new applications that can improvise their app platforms. In addition, these professionals will also find out the categories that can be helpful to both the driver as well as the customer.

As Ola raised $210 million from Japan’s Softbank, it is approaching towards including new vehicles. Along with its already existing 6500 black and yellow cabs in Mumbai, it is now currently landing auto rickshaw on its app in Bengaluru, Chennai and Pune

Another Bangalore based service provider, Taxi For Sure recently landed TATA Nano in service and soon it may introduce the autorickshaw segment. Declining to provide any numbers Amitava Ghosh claimed that more IITans are yet to be hired this year.
