BANGALORE:  Most people have excellent sufficient reasons for jumping from one job to the next. However, it can be difficult to articulate this to recruiters, who look at a resume with many short jobs as a sign of an unserious candidate. Lifehacker lists some advice from professional career development experts on how to smart up a jumpy resume.

Talent Zoo offers a number of useful tips to help you craft a narrative resume that feels more unified that it could otherwise be. You can do this by being precise and put in information that accentuates the complete amount of experience you have in your domain and states that you're looking for a "long-term role.”

The hybrid resume is one great way to present all your relevant skills and experiences you hold at the current job.  According to Taunee Besson, the president of Career Dimensions, a career planning firm in Dallas: the hybrid resume uses the skill set feature from the traditional resume at the beginning, and puts the chronological job history towards the end.

Ms Besson advises to create a list of responsibilities held, just as in a conventional resume. Under that, a section listing each employer, title and start and end dates in reverse chronological order must be mentioned.

It is not ideal to mention the exact dates for each job you did, but in cases where the length of the position is less than a couple of months, it is advised to leave it out entirely.
