79 Percent of Indian Workers Consider Career Luck
Bangalore: We generally tend to think that hard work is the most essential factor for career success. However 84 percent of professionals globally do believe in career luck, in which seventy-nine percent of them, i.e., more than 500 professionals surveyed in India believe in career luck, reveals a new survey conducted by LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, reports “The Business Standard.”
The global survey conducted by LinkedIn involved more than 7,000 professionals. According to the findings, forty-eight percent of the professionals consider themselves to have better career luck when compared to other professionals.
While, having strong communications skills, being flexible, having a strong work ethic, acting on opportunities and having a strong network emerge to be the top five most important factors globally that contributes to luck.
For Indian professionals, the top five most important factors that contribute to luck are--Learning from mistakes, having a strong work ethic, having strong communication skills, striving to be the best at what you do, and having strong technical skills. India is the only nation “Having strong technical skills” in its list of the top five factors contributing to career luck.
