Flashing Offensive Comments on Race, Religion or Gender and Other Sensitive Topics

Posting insensitive or offensive remarks through online media will sure enough back-fire on you, jeopardize your career and earn you a negative reputation. A momentary lapse in offensive activities will more likely send  your career  up in smoke as you are constantly being overviewed even if it is not work related.  

Negative Remarks of Your Job

While it is important to vent out your frustration from time to time, expressing feelings about job issues on social networks is not a wise thing to do. As per the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) stating legitimate complaints about working conditions is a secured speech in most cases. However, if you have issues with your higher ups, it is probably best to keep it to yourself. 

 Disclosing Confidential Information

Unintentionally disclosing your companies classified reports or documents will obviously land you in hot soup, this includes accidental slip- ups or updates that may hint at private matters regarding work. Most often than not, the line between professional and personal is seen to merge on social media, and while this isn’t a bad thing, it does calls for caution.
