The applications allow people to do specific tasks on a computer or another device, while others develop the underlying systems that run the devices or that control networks. Developers are also responsible for integrating existing software products and getting incompatible platforms to work together, creating technical specifications and test plans, maintaining systems by monitoring and correcting software defects and more. Demand for developers is increasing day by day with 17 percent raise in job opportunities between 2014 and 2024. The salary of a software developer on an average is somewhere around $106,050.
