BENGALURU: Nearly 60 percent of the recruiters took part in the survey organized by Naukri Hiring Outlook, 2016 promising new jobs creation in the upcoming months. The expectation of new jobs creation is slightly lower for this year in the period of January-June 2016 as compared to the second half of 2015. The survey conducted by Naukri Hiring Outlook is a bi-annual reporting that covers the hiring opinions across various sectors and industries. More than 4000 personals, including consultants and recruiters, took part in this year survey and responded to the condition of job markets in the upcoming months.

IT-Software industry leads the survey with 16% result in the maximum expected job creation sector. These findings are similar to the job expectations in the second half of 2015. Retail and manufacturing sector appears second in the list with an expected growth of 8 percent in new job creations. ITES sector comes third on the list with 7 percent growth, while BFSI and Telecom are listed fourth on the list with 6 percent expected growth in each of their areas.

"Recruiters are cautiously optimistic about the hiring outlook for the next six months. Though the forecasts vary by industry and region, recruiters from industries viz. IT Services, retail and even manufacturing are expecting the job market to move north. As far as increments are concerned, 30% recruiters surveyed feel the average increments could be around 15% in the current appraisal cycle," said V. Suresh, Chief Sales Officer, Naukri.com.

Regarding the increments and attrition, a survey suggested that 33 percent recruiters expect to provide salary increments in the range of 5-10 percent, while 26 percent recruiters expect the increment range to go about 10-15 percent. As reported by the Economic Times website, 21% recruiters believe that attrition rates in the first half of 2016 will surpass as expected in the second half of 2015 while 46 percent think that it will remain same.

According to the survey, recruiters will face a challenge in finding appropriate talent for the jobs. About 60% of the recruiters feel that the talent hiring was better in the second half of 2015 as compared to the first half of 2015. According to the 32% of consultants, 20-25% applicants accepted the job offer.

There was a section in the survey that focused on tracking the mindset of the candidates involved in the process of job switching. About 32 percent of the recruiters feel that salary is the primary reason, whereas 32 percent other participant think that job location as the major reason and 21 percent sense job profile as the reason behind a job change.
